For Those Who Are Not Yet Initiated

Rainbow Warrior Roundup is an independent gathering created by and for initiated GBTQ+ brothers of the ManKind Project (MKP) community. While all participants have been initiated into MKP, Rainbow Warrior Roundup is not an official MKP event and is not sponsored or operated by the ManKind Project.

If you’ve found your way here and feel drawn to the spirit of this gathering, we’re glad you’re here—even if attendance at this event is not yet available to you. If you are interested in attending the MKP New Warrior Training Adventure on January 23-26 2026, click here.

About the ManKind Project (MKP)

The ManKind Project (MKP) is an international nonprofit organization offering experiential personal development trainings for men. MKP’s work emphasizes integrity, accountability, emotional awareness, and community support through structured, peer-based experiences.

The New Warrior Training Adventure (NWTA)

The primary entry point into MKP is the New Warrior Training Adventure (NWTA)—a weekend-long, experiential training often described as a modern initiation or “hero’s journey.” The NWTA uses guided processes, reflection, and group work to support men in examining how they show up in their lives and relationships. Completion of the NWTA establishes a shared foundation of language, agreements, and practices.

This shared foundation is why participation in Rainbow Warrior Roundup is limited to initiated brothers: it helps ensure a safe, intentional, and mutually understood container.

Gateway / Specialized NWTA Trainings

MKP USA also offers Gateway (or Specialized) NWTA trainings, which follow the same core structure as the standard NWTA while being designed for specific populations. These trainings are typically staffed primarily by men from that community and may incorporate cultural or accessibility considerations. Since 2003, MKP USA has authorized Gateway NWTAs for a variety of groups, including GBTQ men.

If you are interested in attending Rainbow Warrior Roundup in the future, completing a standard or Gateway NWTA is the appropriate next step.
